New Service in Cleveland County, the Klutter Kleaners!

UA Thrift benefits and strengthens our community's non-profit organizations. We can all work together for Cleveland County and you can help by donating any unused or un-needed items to the store. When you designate your items to be donated in honor of your favorite charity that counts toward their share of the profits.

Have you ever asked yourself "What can I do to help the non-profit agencies in my county?" Do you have good used items in your house or garage just taking up space, even that old car not being used in the driveway? Are you a retailer with surplus inventory or items you can't sell? We have a solution, give to the UA Thrift!Call if you neeed us to pick up your donation.

The UA Thrift was developed to create jobs for people in our community who have barriers to employment and raise funds for area charities. The UA Thrift store is a community thrift store supported by and benefiting local non-profits in Cleveland County. Currently there are 11 Member Agencies that belong to UA Thrift. Unlike other thrift stores in our area, the proceeds remain in Cleveland County!

CVII provides an integrated industrial training program at its main production facility located at 650 North Post Road. Given the shift to retail and service jobs in our county we faced growing need for training in the service and retail market. Our philosophy is Get Real. The best place to train a person for those types of jobs is to do it in a real, retail environment thus we created UA-Thrift. Opening the UA Thrift Store supported our mission by providing training and employment opportunities in a real-time, retail environment for our clients.

Over the years Cleveland Vocational has worked hand in hand with other charities in Cleveland County to find innovative ways to serve our community. The needs of our community often exceed the resources available to the non-profit community in Cleveland County. We designed UA-Thrift to be a community wealth building program. At the end of each year store profits are shared with the member agencies. To date $9000 has been shared with those agencies.

United Agency Thrift can also pick up larger items or large quantity items at your request. To arrange for a pick-up, call (704) 484-3737. Our 20,000 square foot store is open six days a week and the hours are: Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Our inventory consists of everything from sporting goods, household items and appliances to furniture, new and sanitized used bedding, and clothing. We also have many new items as well as a few hidden treasured antiques.
